May 22, 2013 (Alternet) | Californians Doug and Catherine Snodgrass are suing their son’s high school for allowing undercover police officers to set up the 17-year-old special-needs student for a drug arrest.In a video segment on ABC News, they say they were “thrilled” when their son — who has Asperger’s and other disabilities and struggled to make friends — appeared to have instantly made a friend named Daniel.
“He suddenly had this friend who was texting him around the clock,” Doug Snodgrass told ABC News. His son had just recently enrolled at Chaparral High School.
“Daniel,” however, was an undercover cop with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department who “ hounded” the teenager to sell him his prescription medication. When he refused, the undercover cop gave him $20 to buy him weed, and he complied — not realizing the guy he wanted to befriend wanted him behind bars.
We add this to the already numerous reasons as why everyone needs to start homeschooling their children.
I hope those fucking assholes pay for this. There’s really not much to say other than setting up undercover sting operations and pressuring teenagers to provide drugs when they probably wouldn’t do it otherwise is about as low as you can fucking get. While they’re at it, why don’t they swing by the 5th grade and bust some 10 year olds too?

Not that I like Yahoo or anything; the only thing useful they’ve ever come out with was Yahoo answers. But maybe they’ll do a better job than the original Tumblr management team. For example: the communication methods between users on this site look like they were thought of by a 3 year old. I mean really… there couldn’t be some actual message system between followers or something besides this whole character limited ask box thing?

I’ve been a fan of them since I was 12 but I don’t think I could appreciate a new album from them now. I’ve loved every one of their albums and didn’t think they “sold out” like some supposed fans thought when Mezmerize/Hypnotize came out. I embraced the fact that they chose not to do the same thing over again (although I prefer their early heavier stuff). But it’s been what, 6 or 7 years since the last album? They’ve all gotten older and Serj has changed the most out of all of them. His voice is different, his style is different, and he turned into mega hippie 5000. I think it all started when he shaved the mustache from his goatee.
Nothing against his side project stuff but I feel like his style is clashing with SOAD. That said, I think it’s time to declare any prospects of a new System of a Down album dead. Shavo should just join Scars on Broadway with Daron and John and then they can put out an album. System, however, shouldn’t have a new album without any of the band members. If they do pull it together and make one, I’ll definitely buy it and listen. I’m sure I’ll be pleased. But they’ve gone so long without an album they’ve been bumped to #2 on my top favorite band list and only hold that position because of how long they remained #1. All enthusiasm and anticipation for an album left a long time ago.
I gain more followers by not posting than I do when I post something. Maybe that’s a sign.

It seems a bit hypocritical for Disney or any other network that has anti bullying campaigns to turn around and air shows that have some sort of bullying in them. I mean after all, that’s what the antagonist is—a bully—who’s always ruining the protagonist’s plans, right? That’s what makes an interesting show. If the main character’s plans always went through perfectly, people would quit watching.
This girl on my college’s Facebook page lists her occupation as “professional misandrist.” Does she realize that feminism is about gender equality, not promoting one gender over the other? And that hating men only perpetuates sexism, not solves it? Jesus.

Did the girl on Facebook even consider herself to be feminist? Perhaps she only claims to be a misandrist but not a feminist. Nobody knows but OP. So if she’s not a feminist but simply a woman who hates men, it doesn’t really matter whether she knows what feminism is about or not.
